Tattoo Removal & Lightening

How does the treatment work?

The technician will tattoo a concentrated solution into the tattoo. Once the area has been opened, a paste is put on the area. The pigment is drawn to the surface of the skin where it will eventually exfoliate away. The removal process can be slow, but is much safer than many laser removal treatments, especially for darker skin types or sensitive skin.

What can the client expect during and after treatments?

During the treatment the client should expect some minor bleeding and some bruising. There will also be tenderness of the area for a few days. The area should scab over and heal over the course of a few weeks, similar to how the tattoo was completed.  Fading will happen gradually over several months.

What are the benefits of this procedure?

The tattoo is lighter and could possibly fade completely over time. This removal technique is safe for all skin types. The removal process is safer and has less risks of hyper/hypo pigmentation, blistering, and scarring than laser removal treatments. The skin may be tattooed over once the area has sufficiently healed.

Who are the best candidates?

Individuals who are patient and willing to follow aftercare instructions are good candidates. Clients on blood thinning medications or who want the tattoo removed A.S.A.P. are not good candidates for this treatment.

What final results can the client expect?

The client should be realistic in their expectations. They should expect a lightening of the tattoo, but a full removal should not be expected. This treatment usually takes 3-4 procedures.

What color will my eyebrows be during the removal process ?

The larger molecules of dark pigment usually remove first, however it is unknown which other colours are in the pigment that was used.   Remaining shades may be warm brown, red, orange or even shades or grey, blue and green.

Can the eyebrow shape/colour be corrected after some removal ?

Yes, many clients begin with 1-2 sessions of removal, then decide once sufficient colour has been removed to have the remaining tattoo reworked

What if my tattoo is large and multicolored can I still receive this treatment?

Yes, Tattillusion treats all colors.  We are not able to treat an area greater than 5 x 5 with in same session in same area. This must be completed at different appointments.
